Frequently Asked Questions
Open CoPact and tap the + button in the navigation bar. Choose 'Quick Session' for an instant block, or 'Scheduled Session' to plan ahead. Select your apps, duration, and difficulty, then start.
Correct. In Locked mode, blocking is enforced by Apple's Screen Time framework at the iOS system level. It persists even when CoPact is closed, backgrounded, or force-quit. The only way to access blocked apps is to wait for the session to end.
Block Selected blocks the specific apps you choose. Everything else stays accessible. Allow Selected does the opposite: it blocks everything except the apps you whitelist. Choose the mode that fits your workflow.
A pact is a long-term agreement to limit a single app. Choose an app (e.g., Instagram), select which days to block it, and pick your difficulty. Each day you keep the pact counts toward your streak. Break the streak and it resets.
Flexible gives you full control: you can cancel sessions, take unlimited breaks, and change settings anytime. Locked removes escape routes: you can't cancel, breaks are limited (1-3 per session), and settings are frozen. Start with Flexible, upgrade to Locked when you're ready for real accountability.
Yes. CoPact uses Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity), which operates at the operating system level. Blocks persist regardless of whether the app is open, closed, backgrounded, or even after a phone restart.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find CoPact, and tap 'Cancel Subscription'. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the billing period.
Yes. All screen time data is processed locally on your device by Apple's APIs. We never see, store, or sell your usage data. If you create an account, we store only your email and session metadata (no app names). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Open CoPact → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated cloud data. Local data on your device can be removed by uninstalling the app.
First, check that Screen Time permission is granted: Settings → Screen Time → CoPact. If permission was revoked, re-authorize it in the app. If the issue persists after an app update, open CoPact to trigger automatic shield restoration. Contact us if you still need help.
