Privacy Policy

1. Overview

CoPact ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information. The short version: your screen time data never leaves your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

CoPact is built on Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity). By design, this framework ensures:

  • No app usage data. We cannot see which apps you use, how long you use them, or your screen time statistics. All usage data is processed locally on your device by Apple's APIs.
  • No browsing history. We have no access to websites you visit.
  • No personal content. We cannot access your messages, photos, contacts, or any app content.
  • No location data. We do not track your location.

3. Data We May Collect

If you create an account, we may store:

  • • Account information: Email address and display name (if you sign in with Email or Apple Sign-In).
  • • Subscription status: Whether you have an active Pro subscription (managed by Apple, not us).
  • • Session metadata: Session start/end times and difficulty settings (for sync purposes if you opt in). This does NOT include which apps were blocked.

4. How We Use Your Data

Account data is used solely to provide the CoPact service: syncing your session history and subscription status. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not display advertising.

5. Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) with encryption at rest and in transit. Screen time data is stored only on your device using Apple's encrypted local storage. We follow industry-standard security practices.

6. Third-Party Services

  • • Firebase Authentication for account sign-in (Google Privacy Policy applies).
  • • Apple Screen Time APIs for app blocking functionality (Apple Privacy Policy applies).
  • • RevenueCat / StoreKit for subscription management (processed by Apple).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • • Access your personal data
  • • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • • Export your data
  • • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise these rights, use the "Delete Account" option in the app's Settings, or contact us at privacy@copact.app.

8. Children's Privacy

CoPact is designed for individual use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of CoPact after changes constitutes acceptance.
